Brief Eclectic Psychotherapy for PTSD (BEPP)

Traumatic experiences leave deep marks. When traumatic memories are accompanied by symptoms such as flashbacks, nightmares, avoidance, and sleep problems, it is referred to as Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD).

The therapy consists of approximately 16 sessions, beginning with an explanation of the symptoms and their connection to the trauma. Through imaginal exposure, individuals revisit the traumatic experience to allow feelings of sadness and anger to emerge. Writing exercises, such as composing angry or farewell letters to deceased individuals, address crucial emotions for processing. Once the symptoms have significantly reduced, the focus shifts to exploring the impact of the trauma on one's life and discovering what can be learned from it. The therapy concludes with a farewell ritual. Brief Eclectic Psychotherapy for PTSD (BEPP) is an intensive but often successful treatment that aids in processing the trauma and accepting life in a new way.

BEPP is specifically developed for the treatment of Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD).
